Reservations and related services, such as excursions, arrangements for leisure activities, etc.  are handled by Liberty Incentives & Congresses Slovenia (hereafter: the agent). All the information about their offers and tips will be available here.

While every care has been taken in making sure that the agent will provide a highly professional and efficient handling of hotel reservations and other bookings, the WISC and the local organiser are not in any way responsible for any problems related the services provided by the aforementioned company. Please address all the inquiries concerning hotel booking and related services to the agent only.

Participants and accompanying persons are requested to book the hotel accommodation in advance by filling in the Hotel Reservation Form, which can be downloaded from here or below this text. Please send the filled-in Reservation Form to the agent, by e-mail, to wisc@liberty-slovenia.com, or by fax to +386-1-232-11-72.

To avoid double charges please make sure that you send the form only once. You will receive the confirmation of the receipt of the Hotel Reservation Form within one working day after you have sent it. The agent may also contact you with further instructions concerning your booking request, e.g. if the room you have requested is not available. Please make sure that you supply an accurate contact information so that the agent can contact you as soon as possible.

Please note: institutional addresses (including e-mail) only. The agent will not accept reservation requests or answer inquires sent to it from commercial emails such as hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc.

In each hotel, listed below, a number of rooms have been reserved for the WISC participants. Please remember that Ljubljana has a limited number of hotel facilities, and that it is among the favourable destinations in Europe. This is for real. Lonely Planet has stated that “Slovenia is moving up the tourist hit parade”. Besides the fact that the conference takes place in the high season, it is also worth recalling that 2008 is a year when Slovenia holds the EU Presidency, which is going to attract even more tourists than usual – free rooms are likely to be an extremely rare commodity at that time.

Therefore, to avoid any disappointment, it is highly recommended  that you book as early as possible to ensure your reservation of a preferred hotel. The agent has negotiated special discounts for the WISC conference. The deadline for early hotel reservations at discounted prices, guaranteed by the agent, is 15 April 2008.

There are two ways how you can pay for your accommodation: by a credit card (Visa or MasterCard), and by a bank transfer. For details, please see the Hotel Reservation Form. To guarantee your hotel reservation 30 % of the total amount will be charged. The rest will be charged after 15 April 2008.

You will hear from the agent within one working day, from the receipt of your form.

Rooms in all major hotels in Ljubljana, the Capital of Slovenia (see the map), have been booked for the second WISC global conference. Several hotels (Hotel Union, with its three branches, Hotel Lev and Hotel City are all situated in the very centre of Ljubljana, all with an easy access to public transport (buses) or taxis to the conference venue, at the Faculty of Social Sciences. There will be information available about the easiest way to get to the conference venue, and the hotel staff will be able to help. All the hotels in the city centre are within the walking distance (5-10 minutes) to the main railway and bus stations.

Ljubljana Hotel & Spa, a modern hotel built just a few years ago, with a popular wellness centre, is the nearest hotel to the Faculty of Social Sciences where the conference will be held. It is a short walking distance (less than 10 minutes) away.
