General guidance notes:
- The ECPR’s mobility fund is available to graduate students and young scholars (see below) from ECPR member institutions* who have been accepted to participate in a panel at the 2nd WISC Conference in 2008.
- Grants are limited to no more than one person per member institution.
- The ECPR’s budget for the mobility fund for the WISC Conference is €3,000.
- A fixed amount of €300 will be awarded to 10 applicants. This may be used to cover travel and/or accommodation costs.
- Applications must be received by the ECPR Central Services by 1700 hrs on Monday, 31 March 2008. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application within two weeks of this date.
- Applications may be sent by email to ecpr@essex.ac.uk or fax to 0044 1206 872500 by the applicant. N.B. There is no need to go through the ECPR Official Representative.
- The grant will be paid AFTER the conference has taken place upon production of proof of status, receipts and a copy of the paper presented. Where the full costs of accommodation or travel are covered, original tickets and receipts are required.
Selection/eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must at the time of the WISC Conference be registered PhD students, post docs or academics no more than three years into their first appointment, at an ECPR member (or associate member) institution.
- Grants will not be awarded to anyone who has received an ECPR mobility fund award within the past year.
- Applicants must be presenting a paper and where that paper is co-authored, must be the presenter of that paper.
- Priority will be given to student applicants who are more advanced in their research.
