To spread and share the knowledge and expertise to all parts of the world, in particular to developing countries.
Facilitate the creation of global and regional contacts among scholars and reach out to scholars from the countries in the developing world. This will give scholars a unique chance to gain the first-hand experience from local experts and explore possibilities for further cooperation and research in the areas of mutual interest.
Provide a direct access for younger scholars and those on an early part of their careers to be exposed to publishers and seniour colleagues from all parts of the world to explore opportunities to promote the results of their research.
Create a setting for initiation of local and regional networks of international scholars in the developing countries, which are expected to take place both at formal level (creation of new professional association within the WISC) and informal level (personal initiatives).
Sustain these networks and other forms of cooperation with the help of the WISC.
